Meet Dr. Ebony
I am a certified Doula trained by Maternity Wise Institute. I am from a small town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and currently live in Lexington, Kentucky. I finished my undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. I completed my post-graduate studies in Doctor of Chiropractic at Life University in Marietta, Georgia.
My Specializations
Prenatal
1-2 In-Home visits to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about the birthing process and what you can expect during delivery. Create birth vision and goals. Explore birth positions, coping, and go over comfort and relaxation measures.
Labor & Delivery
I provide support for mothers/families planning any kind of birth. This can include: vaginal, c-section, medicated, non-medicated or undecided, in-home, birth center, or hospital setting. Calm and grounded support for you and partner. Provide comfort physically, mentally and emotionally. Honor your body, space and birthing process. Assist with identifying when its time to transition to the hospital (home labor).
Postpartum
1-2 In-Home visits to reflect on your birth story. Provide assistance with encouraging rest and bonding. Provide information and resources for newborn care. Help with physical and emotional recovery from birth, infant feeding, newborn care, promote parent/infant bonding, and discuss the transition into parenthood. I will assist you and your family by offering education, physical presence, and support. This can include aid with navigating breastfeeding, infant soothing techniques, light housework, and just providing an extra set of hands.
Ebony’s work ethic is marked by diligence, efficiency, kindness, and compassion. Ebony was constantly on the move with tasks, but she never hesitated to include my older daughter and make her feel like she was being helpful. When I was busy with parenting and unable to think of my own needs, she always made sure that I had a chance to eat and shower before she left.

Hi, I am Mackenzie, a doula. I am the oldest of three children and have always had a mothering and nurturing instinct. I grew up being a natural provider and support person for others daily in their time of need. My love for women's health and pregnancy started when I became a chiropractic assistant. Being introduced to Chiropractic care has been life changing along with being an influence to empowering women's health.
